INDIANA STATE FAIR NEXT STOP FOR JOHN FORCE ROAD SHOW
YORBA LINDA, CA (August 11, 2011) --- This summer the John Force Racing Road Show has thrilled fans at the Indianapolis 500, educated fans at five Denver area Super Wal-Mart locations for a week in advance of the NHRA Mopar Mile High Nationals and amazed aviation fans at the EAA AirVenture show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This weekend the John Force Racing Road Show will return to the heartland of America and be on display for the tens of thousands fair-goers who will visit the 2011 Indiana State Fair on August 12-14. In addition to the 8,000 hp Funny Cars on display Castrol GTX Mustang Funny Car driver and current NHRA Full Throttle Funny Car point leader Mike Neff will be signing autographs at the Road Show from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday.
“We have taken the Road Show to NASCAR races and the Indy 500. We event took it up to Oshkosh for the AirVenture Air Show but I am really excited to be heading to the 2011 Indiana State Fair. Over one million people will attend The Fair this year and hopefully most of them will come this weekend and check out the John Force Racing Road Show.” said 15-time Funny Car champion John Force.
In addition to the multiple Funny Cars on display the JFR Road Show features interactive kiosks as well as flat screen TVs showing racing highlights, shorts films, and testimonials from drivers and motorsports executives.
The three JFR Funny Cars that will be on display throughout the weekend highlight the rising stars of John Force Racing including Mike Neff’s Castrol GTX Ford Mustang, Robert Hight’s Automobile Club of Southern California Ford Mustang and Courtney Force’s BrandSource Ford Mustang. The Road Show will be located in Dow AgroSciences Celebration Park near Gate 16.
“I am excited to be representing John Force Racing and the NHRA at the Indiana State Fair,” said Mike Neff a five time NHRA national event winner. “The Road Show has been a great tool for promoting all sorts of fans and people about NHRA as well as NASCAR and Indy Car. I am looking forward to spending some time with the folks at the State Fair on Saturday.”
Since its appearance at the Indianapolis 500 in front of a record crowd, the John Force Racing Road Show has been in front of crowds in excess of 250,000 during its time in Denver and over 500,000 at the AirVenture Air Show according to event organizers. The goal of the Road Show has been and will continue to be promoting and educating people about NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing as well as all major forms of motorsports.
Indiana State Fair will once again be held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds located at 1202 E 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205.
